We advise that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

We are open Monday - Thursday from 9am - 3pm and Friday 9am - 10:30pm. Breakfast 9am - 11:15am. Lunch 12pm - 2:30pm. Friday Evening service 5pm - 8:30pm.

We take your card details to secure the booking. No money is taken from the card on booking process.

If you cancel your table for one of our themed evenings or a Sunday lunch within 48 hours of the event, you will be charged the full price of the menu price per head.
During our normal, Monday - Friday service, you will not be charged for cancelling your table.

Yes. We will charge £20 per head if a booking isn’t cancelled.

If you have booked online, you can cancel/edit your booking via your booking confirmation email, or you can call us.

The maximum number of guests that we can seat on a table is 6.
We have two tables that can seat x6. We do not cater for larger bookings due to the size of our kitchen team, tiny kitchen and bistrot lay out.

Please ring Bistrot Max on 01283347406 to let us know. We allow a 15 minute grace period, after this time we reserve the right to resell your table.

Yes and No. We welcome children however we do not do a specific children’s menu. We will gladly offer a children’s portion of certain dishes from our menu.

Yes our £25 Bistrot Max vouchers are available to buy in house or we are happy to pop them in the post. Our vouchers are valid for a year from the purchase date.

Yes we do.
VEGAN
Our main emphasis is focused on fresh fish and traditional French cookery styles. However, we always offer a choice of vegetarian starters and mains. If you follow a vegan diet we would need notice for our chef to prepare options in advance.
GLUTEN/DAIRY FREE
Due to most of our dishes being prepared to order, we can adapt most of our menu to suit the gluten/dairy free diet.

We unfortunately don’t have a dedicated carpark for Bistrot Max. However, there is a pay and display carpark at The Mews and also free parking on Tutbury High Street.

We are able to offer takeaway hot drinks during our breakfast service.

Due to the size of Bistrot Max, our tables are likely to be reserved for dining. During breakfast service we may be able to accommodate a ‘drinks only’ service.
